Thought you had to wait until late spring to catch wisteria season? Think again! Luckily for us impatient photo-lovers, you can sit under the gorgeous purple flowers in the comfort of Aubaine Selfridges… with tea in hand 😉
The flower wall at Elan is all the buzz right now, so while everyone was headed over there to photograph their famous flower wall, we decided to head over to the Aubaine Selfridges for a slice of something different. We were rewarded with the perfect situation: an almost empty cafe, just waiting to be photographed! And what a pretty sight it was, with natural light flooding the room and wisteria dangling from the ceiling.
We’d gone with two teas to start, the Ceylon, and the French breakfast.
The latter turned out to be my favourite tea of all time. You guys must try it if you haven’t already- it’s a black tea but with a gorgeous chocolate fragrance and taste, and leaves you wanting more with every sip. The tea is made by one of my favourite tea companies, Mariage Frères. On the other hand, while enjoying it at home is nice, nothing beats drinking it under that stunning wisteria ceiling, and I can’t recommend enough making the journey (big or small) to Aubaine Selfridges to see it.
On mornings when you just need a little bit of peace and calm, this place is perfect, especially as a pre-shopping boost.
We could have sat for hours drinking their incredible tea and looking down at the view of Oxford Street (and up at the wisteria, of course!). This is one of the few places in London where I could spend whole mornings [instead of sleeping in], and I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else.
